Our StoryWhy I started Paddy Pigeon
My mum loved my children, but she lived far away.
We could call, send photos, video chat — but after “How was your day?” there often wasn't much else to say.
I wanted to give them something to open, read and share with her.
That's where Paddy Pigeon began: a letter in the letterbox, written just for a child, giving them something to look forward to and talk about with the people they love.
What I remember most isn't the calls. It's the moments they shared with her. The letter was never really the point — it's what it gives you to share.
A letter is a way of being there.
