“My grandson calls me every time a letter arrives. I think he looks forward to it more than I do.”
— Grandmother, NSW
A full year of adventures
Every month, a letter arrives in the post from Cubby, a curious little bear who wakes up somewhere new every month. He never knows where he'll be next, and neither does your child. That's half the fun.
Give a child aged 3–7 a year of real letters: a new story each month, written to be read aloud together. Through little challenges, discoveries, friendship and playful moments, they're encouraged to wonder, ask questions and see the world through Cubby's eyes. One thoughtful gift—twelve months of excitement, connection and conversation.

“Beautiful stories, beautiful artwork and such a clever idea. I recommend it to everyone looking for something a little different.”

The joy of finding mail addressed to them
Remember the excitement of getting a letter in the mail with your name on it?
Give that feeling to your child — and a reason for you to snuggle up and read it together. For a little while, the rest of the day can wait.
It starts as a letter. Somewhere along the way, it becomes a family ritual.
Something they look forward to,
every single month.
Something to talk about
When you live far away, phone calls can run out of things to say after “How was your day?” Cubby's letters give you both something to share: where he is, what he found, what's on this month's treasure card.
Paddy tucks in a note for the grown-ups too, with simple conversation starters, ideas and prompts connected to the month's adventure.
Before long, “Did your letter come yet?” becomes its own tradition.
And when you call, you already
have something to ask about.

“He made me read it three times in a row. Same letter. Three times.”

What age is this for?
Paddy Pigeon is designed for children aged 3–7 years. The stories, activities and discoveries are created to spark imagination and curiosity at this stage, with just the right amount of reading support from a grown-up.
Too young to read? That's the point: you read it together. Most letters are read aloud with younger children and enjoyed independently as they get older.
We spread the map out on the living room floor every month and follow Cubby's journey together. My three kids all get involved, even my oldest who usually isn't interested in story time anymore.
Allie P.
I wasn't sure what to expect because it's 'just letters', but it's honestly become one of our favourite things we do together. We read the story first, then my daughter insists on finding the treasure card before doing the activities. Afterwards she puts everything neatly back into the envelope ready to read again. It's become a lovely little tradition every month.
Claire M.
My little boy isn't usually interested in sitting still for stories but Cubby somehow keeps his attention the whole time. Afterwards he insists on colouring the activity sheet before dinner 😂
Sophie J.
The artwork is stunning. My daughter has started pinning the maps on her bedroom wall and loves telling visitors where Cubby has been. I honestly didn't realise a monthly letter could become something she treasures this much.
Andrew N.
We've tried a few subscription boxes over the years but this is the first one that's actually become part of our family routine. Mail day is a big deal now.

My granddaughter waits by the letterbox every month now. She won't let anyone else open the envelope—not even me. It's become our little tradition and I honestly didn't expect it to mean this much.

Season 1: Big World Adventures
A connected adventure that builds curiosity, confidence and a sense of wonder.
As Cubby's adventure unfolds, children explore new places, make friends and face little challenges along the way.
Every month adds another piece of the journey, full of Cubby's stories, discoveries and little secrets to find together.
We created Paddy Pigeon to bring smiles to families, one letter at a time. If it hasn't been the experience you hoped for within your first 100 days, let us know. We'll work with you to make it right.
Cubby is the little bear who writes to your child from a new place each month. Paddy is the postal pigeon who delivers his letters, and writes a short note for the grown-ups.
What's the difference between Standard and Personalised?
Both follow the same Cubby story, with the same stories, activities and discoveries, collectible treasures and explorer map. Personalised adds personalised letters from Cubby every month, a personalised birthday card and a birthday surprise from Cubby.
What is the Write Back kit?
With the Personalised plan on Prepaid, your child receives a Write Back kit once: a note on how it works and a self-addressed envelope. They write a letter, add a stamp, and post it to Cubby — and Cubby writes back, like a pen pal.
What age is Paddy Pigeon designed for?
Paddy Pigeon is designed for children aged 3–7 years. The stories, activities and discoveries are created to spark imagination and curiosity at this stage, with just the right amount of reading support from a grown-up.
Is one letter a month enough?
That's exactly what makes it special. Paddy Pigeon isn't designed to entertain every day. It's designed to create one little moment each month that children genuinely look forward to. The waiting becomes part of the experience, and many families tell us the excitement begins long before the envelope is opened.
Will my child actually enjoy it?
Most children are delighted by getting their own mail. But the real magic often arrives after the second or third letter, when they start recognising the envelope and looking forward to Cubby's next adventure. For many families, the anticipation becomes part of the experience.
When will the first letter ship?
Your first letter is sent according to when you order. Order by the 15th of the month and it joins the upcoming mailing; order after the 15th and it joins the following month's mailing instead.
After your first letter, one new adventure is mailed each month. For the exact next mailing date and estimated delivery times, visit our Shipping & Mailing page.
How does Prepaid work?
Prepaid is one payment at checkout for the whole of Season 1, a full year of monthly adventures. There is nothing to renew and nothing to remember — it simply ends once the adventure is complete.
Can I buy Paddy Pigeon as a gift?
Absolutely. After checkout, you'll receive the FREE Gift Reveal Printable (Mini Mailbox Craft Kit) by email — a printable mini mailbox you print, colour and assemble together. The child opens it to discover a surprise envelope announcing that their first Paddy Pigeon letter is on its way, giving you something fun to enjoy together on the day you give the gift. Their first envelope follows in the next Welcome Mailing, and your gift message is woven into Cubby's welcome note. Gift subscriptions do not renew automatically.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Yes. Log in to your account at any time to pause, skip or cancel your subscription yourself — you don't need to email or ask us. You stay because your child looks forward to the next letter, not because you have to.
Is Paddy Pigeon educational or just fun?
Imagination comes first. Every letter naturally encourages reading, curiosity and conversation, but Paddy Pigeon isn't designed to feel like homework. We believe children learn best when they're enjoying themselves.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes. Delivery within Australia is free. For everywhere else, a flat international postage rate applies to your order and is shown during checkout before payment. Delivery windows for international orders are on our Shipping & Mailing page.
Our Story
Why I started Paddy Pigeon
I love the look on a child's face when they open the letterbox and find a letter sitting there quietly, waiting for them. You can watch it change from wondering, to curious, and then burst into excitement when they realise their name is on the envelope, all within a couple of seconds.
And no matter how many letters they receive, the feeling is always the same.
That's why I created Paddy Pigeon: in the hope of bringing the magic of the letterbox back to childhood. It's a small moment, but it stays with them for life.

My husband and I bought Paddy Pigeon for our granddaughter after looking for a birthday gift that wasn't another plastic toy. We honestly had no idea it would become such a special part of her month. Every time a new envelope arrives she asks if Grandma can come over so we can read it together. We make a cup of tea, sit at the kitchen table and go through every single page. She studies the map, finds the treasure card, finishes the activity sheet and then carefully puts everything back into the envelope. Last week she told me, 'Don't lose these because I want to keep them forever.' That completely melted my heart. Thank you for creating something that gives us memories instead of clutter.

We ordered this after seeing an ad on Facebook and honestly I wasn't expecting much. We have tried subscription boxes before and most lose their novelty pretty quickly. Paddy Pigeon has been completely different. My daughter now knows who Cubby is, talks about him like he's one of her little friends and keeps asking where he'll travel next. She has every single letter neatly tucked back into its envelope and refuses to let me throw anything away. We've started keeping everything in a memory box because I know she'll want these when she's older.

I ordered this because my granddaughter absolutely loves getting mail. What surprised me most was how much she enjoys talking about the stories afterwards. She tells me all about Cubby's adventures over the phone and asks me where I think he'll go next. It's given us something lovely to share together.

My granddaughter lives almost five hours away so I don't get to see her very often. I wanted something that reminded her that Grandma was thinking about her every month. My daughter tells me she checks the mailbox almost every afternoon during the week she expects a new letter. She keeps every envelope, every activity and every treasure card in a little keepsake box. When I visited recently she proudly showed me the whole collection from the beginning. That moment alone made this subscription worth every cent.

We started Paddy Pigeon six months ago and I can genuinely say it's become part of our family's routine. Every new delivery means hot chocolates, sitting together on the lounge and reading Cubby's latest adventure before bedtime. The kids have started guessing where he'll travel next and argue over who gets to hold the map. In a world where everything seems to happen on a screen, it's refreshing to have something that brings everyone together around a real letter. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

My grandson has autism and can sometimes find new activities overwhelming, so I wasn't sure how he'd respond. To our surprise, he absolutely connected with Cubby. We read each letter together several times before moving on to the activities and he now keeps every envelope lined up in order on his bookshelf. His mum tells me it's become one of the highlights of his month. Thank you for creating something so gentle, thoughtful and engaging.

As a dad I'm usually pretty sceptical of subscription products because they often lose their appeal after the first delivery. This has honestly been the opposite. Every month our daughter gets just as excited as the first time. She immediately recognises Cubby, remembers previous adventures and starts making guesses about where he'll end up next. We've even caught ourselves getting excited when we see the envelope arrive. It's become one of those small family rituals that I hope we'll remember for years.
